php - Incorrectly Changing WordPress URLs on Same Server -

so have dedicated server , installed single instance of wordpress on url (using url example): anytownboattours.com. started themes , plugins etc... , owner said url needs other way around: boattoursanytown.com.

so, pointed new domain existing instance of wordpress (since on same dedicated server), , followed wordpress instructions going settings -> general , changed both wordpress address (url) , site address (url) boattoursanytown.com (with no "/" @ ending on either).

so, appears fine. wordpress site seems have accepted url alter , i've logged in , made changes home page , theme. came across weird error sub pages i'd created before switch. error occurs in pages except home page. when click on of pages except home , edit them, when nail update or preview buttons, preview goes 404 message. thought weird started looking around.

i discovered content directory still pointing old url. wp-config location is: d:\websites\anytownboattours.com/wp-config.php , content directory is: d:\websites\anytownboattours.com/wp-content

so alter in general settings didn't work. hoping help me figure how go here.

update permalinks if it's not changing them, need click save. settings > permalinks , press save changes. more prepare issue had when migrated clients site.
