i'm designing web application allows editing pages. grab is, not html content, not shown in webpage besides wysiwyg editor.

its more presentation slides non-rectangular led signage displays (custom hardware) of low resolution:

(above screenshot happens rectangular, displays have custom shape)

the page editing should more resemble powerpoint tinymce, say. example, inline "content elements" such time (or image, or counter, or tickertape text) can altered user within page.

and reposition disallowed, turning page template allows users vary text , appearance settings.

can suggest such "presentation slide page editor" web application?

if going suggest tinymce or like, please specify enables these inline (or floating) content elements, , whether allows pixel-perfect editing shown in screenshot.

.. guessing there no such thing, , i'd have build scratch. in case i'd go simple template design users fills in fields , bitmap preview rendered serverside.

based on requirements, sense you're going need write custom this. i'm guessing canvas best this. involve having draw onto canvas, give pixel perfection. seems best if want emulate how marquee display render it. in terms of text editing, utilize sort of input (wysiwyg or not) , render within canvas element. i'm sure it's possible emulate cursor , capture keyboard input "write" straight canvas component, might more work.
