it seems web browser component (windows 7, ie11) can't browse @ in case it's specified user in settings utilize socks proxy. net explorer works, application based on web browser component can't browse site - got network error. sample application msdn acts same way app. suggestions?

socks4 works me. form app, check if right proxy setting there, urlmkgetsessionoption/internet_option_proxy.

that said, you're dealing firewall/antivirus software configured allow socks requests white list of approved apps (including iexplore.exe). app not on list.
