i've been building , targetting application ios 7.1.

with recent upgrade of appcode 3.0, when installed latest xcode 6.0-beta, noticed unusual happening in appcode. simulator devices set utilize ios 8.0 despite project settings not saying in xcode (value set iphoneos; means latest ios sdk).

i seek configure base of operations sdk in project settings, don't lot of choices:

what do here set ios 7.1?

this might be, because have set appcode 3.0 work against xcode 6. , in xcode 6 havn't downloaded 7.1 simulator.

the prepare is, go xcode 6-> preferences-> downloads , download simulator 7.1. should work (you of course of study need project deployment target ios 7.x)

or: switch appcode wirk against xcode 5 in preferences->xcode on right side can switch xcode 5.x.

ios version ios7.1 ios8 appcode
