Migrating a Classic ASP app from 2003/IIS7 to 2012/IIS8 -
i'm new asp/.net. we've got pressure level move app because it's on non ipv6 compatible scheme (the 2003/iis7). i've got asp pages getting processed fine, seem of more involved apps (possibly ones have access databases?) giving me "500 - internal server error."
i'm thinking might permissions issue, or @ to the lowest degree that's part of it. if go site remotely, error. if go site on server hosted from, of page loaded until, seems be, first html element require options db.
as far can tell, permissions old server there (the contents copied straight over), 1 beingness phantom user (one of 234-234-23423423-234-23 type of users.) i've determined it's "aspnet" user... haven't been able find out how user in 2012. stuff reading suggests it's been, more or less, removed/changed else, , 1 of our guys here says moved in network services permission (i'm not sure if meant did it, or if ms.)
have moved 32 bit 64 bit platform. both oledb , odbc drivers jet (access) databases 32 bit - , solution may open iis manager , enable 32 bit applications in app pool.
if follow instructions on page more helpful error messages "500 internal server error"
