transmission command protocol , net protocol 2 different protocols. why mentioned together.
the official name tcp/ip internet protocol suite. tcp/ip shorthand used authors refer new iteration of standard based on previous protocol called tcp (for transmission command program), 1 may infer new acronym meant differentiate latter.
