is possible integrate spree own database? or it's improve work doing extensions(what i've found)?

i have rails app scaffoldings , migrations of database, so, can set database model , spree work together?

spree rails engine, designed able integrate in existing site existing database. spree's database tables namespaced spree_ prefix, shouldn't run in collisions table names.
