selinux disabled on both hosts, iptables stopped. also, unable telnet on port 9999. issue?

we had same problem. not unable telnet port 9999, unable ping other server. sign problem in network configuration. check if there right route other server. if not (sometimes case of multiple servers @ same datacenter), add together static routes other server (on both).
