i thought of modeling inventory product "configurable product" , dependant product "configurable product instance", , add together fixed configuration features of product. right way? see configurable product example, when client defining configuration (the pc001 sample). other way? just 1 consideration, if sell gift card product itself, not "payment method", can utilize both solutions: can create parent product virtual 1 , "childs" variants (like shirt different sizes), or create configurable 1 (like pc several pc components). check different processes uses ofbiz "sell" product depending of type (variant or configurable), , utilize 1 suits you. in case prefer utilize virtual product variants, it's easier manage it.
