i want know whether there programming language accomplish task descried below.

i have develop tool , should perform operations step step based on input.

steps include, ftping files -> starting job -> processing output file -> generating report.

is there jar written in java can used this? apart java, lead told seek "ruby in rails" , have no thought in "ruby in rails". can achieved using rails?
