i writing peer-to-peer chat application in c , extend using tor transport medium. since have never used tor before , know how works; have no thought how accomplish that.

by means, both clients listening connection requests on specific tcp port (defined user). have do, e.g client connects client b (assuming both have tor client installed)? due research found out have connect localhost:9050 tor client listening , think have craft socks4/5 pdu connect proxy??

if that's right, explain me in detail? furthermore there libs can utilize connecting socks proxy (for c, os: gnu/linux, bsd)?
