unix - Getting Device Hostname -
i have unix machine on network , i'm looking device hostname devices on network. how go doing this? i've tried nmap, arpscan, host, , nslookup seem want dns reverse lookup. don't have dns server on network.
when hostname i'm referring device name set user. illustration host on machine returns joshcloud.
i'll give same reply gave here: how hostname ip(linux)?. you're going need either add together dns entries or connect each host individually , inquire names.
