.net - Support for redirected drives in OpenFileDialog and FolderBrowserDialog in Windows Forms -

.net - Support for redirected drives in OpenFileDialog and FolderBrowserDialog in Windows Forms -

we're in process of trying 1 of our old .net 3.5 windows forms applications work on server, people able access via remote desktop.

we have nail snag regards accessing file on user's local machine. application needs able export , import files user's computer. we've been using standard .net openfiledialog , folderbrowserdialog components facilitate hitherto. unfortunately, though users sharing local drive via drive redirection on remote desktop clent , users can access file/folders using windows explorer remotely... seems openfiledialog , folderbrowserdialog components not allow access these shared drives.

every time seek browse user's drive within remote session, error "the folder [folder name] can't used. please take folder." (folderbrowserdialog) or literally nil happens within openfiledialog when take shared drive.

does know of way around this? or know of 3rd party component / solution may help?

we're faced prospect of having users drag , drop files onto desktop using windows explorer remotely way of proxying files n forth.

the reason because had run application administrator. right click "run administrator". reason prevents drive redirection working.

.net vb.net winforms
