python - Looking for advice on applying textures to 3D models at run time -
i'm working on project requires user generated images applied various 3d models (mugs, t-shirts etc). i've explored numerous applications, (pyglet, blender, panda name few), , looking ideas / guidance best approach.
appears me world of 3d modelling has quite steep learning curve (looking @ gl), looking invest time wisely.
thoughts?
in case you're interested in replacing textures on-the-fly, should render objects uv maps.
uv maps specify pixel offset within texture 1 time texture chosen, simple process of table lookup filling in texture.
you might consider rendering @ double resolution , after applying cut down image size. anti-alias discontinuities.
