php - Prestashop. Turning off auto modules update in Adminitration -> Settings doesnt work -

ive stuck problem, every module have updated. turned off automatic search updates (at admin's page), still no success, updates coming , becomes real pain in a**, because iam fixing of them changing controllers , other php files, , when updates implemented - php files overwritten new one. also, when module need updated - stop working , becomes non-configurable, me painful procedure update modules. can u guys give me clues? give thanks you!

i think depends on way making changes. anyways, overriding practice in developping/adding/changing prestashop , other mvc based programming. when upgrade, overrides remain in place , maintain functionality.

i have never tried override behaviour of module pretty sure there way since written in mvc way. then, module updates concern core files of module , changes remain in override place.

one thing watch overrides when upgrade major versions override might not compatible changes made new controllers. still here, if overrides should upgrade, done separately.
