is there reason print errors on stdout , not on stderr?

i see people utilize stdout, respectively printf(), print error message. there reason or there lazy utilize stderr?

it's lazyness. stderr created print error messages, can redirect output of programme without having mixed error messages. also, think stderr unbuffered default, if programme crash, error messages point crashed printed (this behaviour can modified utilize of setvbuf).
