Is there any Google API to check if an input a city or not? -

im developing real estate ios app. app uses googlemapsdk ios v1.8.1 title said, there google api / classes, can used check if text input city or not city?

if after cities , there many places on net can every city , zip code free - post office. if can't store or don't want , want utilize google - exact api looking not exist. can info want out of google api, take work. easy send input google geocoding api, parse response , see if response city matches user entered. know... not ideal, there ways create it's working way want user's point of view though exact api doesn't exist.
