itunesconnect - How to manage 2 for 1 sale pricing on iOS / iTunes Connect -

i'm wanting sell consumable product in app, , arbitrarily offer sale 2 1 deal.

example

let's have consumable product: 50 proton pills $0.99 (tier 1).

i'm wanting periodically, set amount of time, instead offer 100 proton pills $0.99.

my strategy making work have 2 different products in itunes connect.

product 1: 50 proton pills - tier 1 product 2: 100 proton pills - tier 1

normally, product 1 set cleared sale yes , product 2 set cleared sale no. when want 2 1 sale, i'd reverse these settings.

my app request both products app store, , whichever 1 comes displayed user purchase.

my problem

in testing, products getting returned when they're requested, if they've been set cleared sale no.

without beingness able test feature, i'm not keen on releasing app , hoping best.

my questions

1) there way test adding , removing products sale in itunes connect, aren't returned if set cleared sale no?

2) if reply 1 no, there way accomplish , test want (i.e. 2 1 sale)?

so have 2 products:

product 1 - 50 coins. normal price. active.

product 2 - 100 coins. same cost product 1, double coins. inactive.

product 2 discount means 2 x 1 product 1.

the concern here iap availability changes take time (hours, 1 hr 24 usually) apply. if alter availability, (i.e. app) not see status alter till hours later (until apple's servers have replicated information).
