we have been asked add together password strength validation our scheme customer. have asked password @ to the lowest degree 8 characters long , not include "common words such days, months etc".

why not download of text lists of 'passwords' (which include many, many dictionary words also) internet. search in google wordlists , passwords, i'm sure you'll hit.

load list collection. get password user use linq compare 'incoming' password isn't contained in collection. if is; inquire new password , loop (2) if isn't; utilize password.

using external list means can maintain updating list of not allowed passwords dynamically - rather hardcoding in illustration above.
