Is Visual Studio ready for a 4K screen as of June 2014? -
has real experience of "microsoft stack programming" on 4k screen? vs usable or buttons tiny , annoying? or properties editor insanely small? how other tools, web browsers? etc. etc.
is safe move 4k yet programmer on windows?
scott hanselman has article covering high-dpi-support of various programs: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/livingahighdpidesktoplifestylecanbepainful.aspx
according him, both desktop (in windows 8.1) , microsoft software (he mentions visual studio , office).
visual studio 2013 looks great. fonts well-sized, , while icons aren't high-res (retina) still ok. dialog boxes , menus work should.
that not mean never painful have high-dpi screen. adobe seems bad @ high dpi (although think @ to the lowest degree photoshop has new high-dpi mode works well)
i shocked @ how bad adobe stuff looks on high-dpi display. flip coin, chances it's gonna mix of little , large.
dropbox mixing different scales (which makes crappy), github (which in every way superior), looks amazing.
