i've seen image below in website,when hover mouse on it,the background image changes!

actually i'm searching way style of animation(the default image slides downwards hover image slide up!)

it depends on browsers you're looking support, performance. if it's cross browser perhaps javascript/jquery solution suitable. if it's mobile audiences, it's safer go css3 option.
