when qsub-ing job want 1 job wait execute until first 1 has succeeded. i've been looking @ options -hold_jid_ad , -hold_jid this, can't see difference in them.

lets have jobs a , b, , a depends on b. want run qsub --hold_jid[_ad] b a.sh

--hold_jid_ad

this array jobs only. utilize if:

a , b both array jobs, a , b has same range of tasts (i.e. not qsub -t 1-3 a.sh , qsub -t 2-4 b.sh), a[i] depends on b[i], and a[i] not depend on b[j] i != j --hold_jid

use other situation. when in uncertainty utilize this.

this based on a diff documentation , few tries on our engine.
