adb - Possible to send "release" build, over USB cable, from Android Studio? -
100 pt bounty grabs here!
using android studio 0.6.1 (actually on osx), have build variant set on "debug".
i have phone plugged in "connected media device". click "run" button top.
everything works fantastically well.
however. alter "release" ...
it seems impossible, send on usb phone?
i understand publish playstore, utilize "release" , utilize "build signed apk", using password keystone. works perfectly.
sobut can "leave on" "release" mode while working tethered phones?
(with ios development example, "debug" setting annoying , sucks, , can leave on "release" time, basically. indeed can delete "debug" variant.)
thanks, android aces!!
here's error appears if seek send "release" build on usb cable tethered phone.
the android scheme requires installed applications digitally signed certificate private key held application's developer.
have set key-store signing release build?
for details using gradle see how-to-create-a-release-signed-apk-file-using-gradle
with android studio 0.5.9 can utilize module settings [f4]/app signing define key store.
android-studio adb signing
