How do I get a Google Places API key for my Android App -

i've spent lastly 48 hours pulling hair out trying find reply question. person asked question: how can create api key google places api? experiencing same issue having, never got answer.

please follow below steps

visit google apis console @ https://code.google.com/apis/console , log in google account.

a default project called api project created when first log in apis console. can utilize project, or create new 1 clicking api project button @ top of window , selecting create. maps api business customers must utilize api project created them part of places business purchase.

click services link in left-hand navigation panel.

click status switch (the on/off button) next places api entry. switch slides on.

click api access in left-hand navigation panel.

click create new server key. come in 1 or more server ip addresses if wish restrict servers can send api requests.

click create. api key appears under heading key server apps (with ip locking).
