i had been getting referenced error under version 2.4 different lon/lat info set. upgraded 2.6 , able utilize 2dsphere index on info set. however, different info set (excerpt below) received old error message on trying index using 2dshpere. error message excerpt follows:

i having same problem receiving error: can't extract geokeys object; malformed geometry?. object following, validated on on geojsonlint.com. also, using mongodb version 2.6.1. happened me when using version 2.4, , upgraded 2.6, , solved problem then, getting error 1 time again new geojson info set. please, if can allow me know how solve helpful.

“malformed geometry” error when creating geosphere index valid multipolygon

similar issue, valid geojson beingness submitted 2dsphere index , causing "can't extract geo keys object, malformed geometry?" error.

there have been series of previous bugs valid geojson causing error message. they've fixed in 2.6.x appears new one. i'd chime in on jira help prioritized fix.
