android - What if a process has been killed while its activities are still alive? -

to limited knowledge, in android, activity must belong given process. however, book hello, android says: " activity life cycle not tied process life cycle." say, if process has been killed, activities can still alive!

what makes me confused is: because input handlers of activity bound process. if process has been killed, how activities react user's inputs?

the activity not live in sense it's running , input handlers running, info needed restore activity stored os can recreate @ will.

recreating whole application @ state when left recreates input handlers too.
