Frustrated with cUrl and Windows and Rails -

i trying install curb gem rails 2 hours. curlib doesn't work if downloaded everything, set in enviromental path, still getting error

extconf.rb:23:in `<main>': can't find libcurl or curl/curl.h (runtimeerror)

please help!

curb != libcurl. need install libcurl separately. can download zip file curl website , extract whatever directory want. if have trouble, read documentation here.

i suggest install flavor of linux virtually, or dual boot. won't lastly headache have running rails on windows.
