eclipse - egit dead branch, add to index not working, cannot checkout -

some files added branch in eclipse, cannot add together them index team->add index. nil happens. toolbar "add git index": nil happens. icons before file names remain untracked. when want commit not in list. when want switch branch b, checkout conflicts these files. preventing these files beingness added index?

i have done more tries: in branch a, if add together new file, plain icon in front end of , cannot added index. in branch b new file gets icon question mark , can added index. seems branch dead branch. git-gardeners out there know revive it?

it took me while find .gitignore file. there ignoring whole branch. suppose wanted ignore file (probably annoying proguard.txt) , erroneously clicked team->ignore whole project/branch. problem is, hard tell icons, , there no way undo menu: "ignore" alternative in sentiment should alter "stop ignoring". have edit or delete .gitignore file.
