Cross domain Facebook apps best practice -

Cross domain Facebook apps best practice -

heads up, know there have been number of questions on topic before, not duplicate.

facebook officially offers limited cross domain functionality @ present, allowing subdomains, , different domains sharing same base of operations url. (see blog post) aside these, facebook state not offer cross domain functionality.

however, isn't technically true, do... extent. possible specify exclusively different url in mobile url, canvas url, or page tab url fields, providing total cross-domain functionality.

use case: there few, in case i'm building shopify app, thank-you page of checkout on checkout.shopify.com, while main site on mydomain.com.

there appears limited give-and-take on this. 2 resources i've managed find are:

http://stackoverflow.com/a/20358123/3653398 the hull.io documentation (they encourage using external domain sdk)

the fact there no official documentation on worries me, doesn't sense "officially supported functionality", if appear work flawlessly.

has looked before?
