odbc - what are the consequences of turning off connection pooling? -

i have main application using odbc driver , connection pooling. separate programme accesses connection pools via same driver issue has been detected connection pool , driver 2nd program.

if turn off connection pooling works fine.

what consequences main application if turn off connection pooling , / should turning off , on whilst 2nd programme runs?

i hate state obvious if disable connection pool applications connecting , disconnecting repeatedly not utilize pooled connection , have connect afresh each time. may mean application benefiting pool little slower depends on lot of factors e.g., default pool timeout 60s if connecting 1 time every 2 minutes weren't using pooled connections anyway.
